Tergar Bodh Gaya Monastery

Tergar Bodh Gaya Monastery is also known as the Pal Tergar Dhargye Ling Monastery. The monastery houses a monastic school where young monks study a Buddhist experiential curriculum integrated with modern academic programs such as science, English and computer classes. 

The monastery was built between 2003-2006 by Mingyur Rinpoche, and is currently home to over 300 monastics. It is situated near the village of Bodh Gaya, India, where Siddhartha Gautama attained enlightenment. It hosts the Kagyu Monlam prayer festival, the Karma Günchö winter teaching sessions and other important celebrations.
